What is the origin of Su Böreği?
Ingredients for Su Böreği Recipe:
For Dough
6 eggs
Half a tea glass of water
As much flour as it takes
Salt
For Batter
300 g cheese
1 bunch of parsley
As much butter as desired
Su Böreği Preparation:
Take 2 cups of flour in a large bowl, open the flour in the form of a pool, put the egg, salt and water in the middle and mix. Knead until you get the consistency of dough. To understand that the dough is ready, it is important that there are no air bubbles in the dough you cut with a knife. If there are no air bubbles left, your dough is ready. After dividing the prepared dough into about 12 pieces, roll out all of them with the help of a rolling pin. The more carefully you roll out the dough, the more beautiful and smooth you will get. You can place a towel over the rolled out phyllo sheets to prevent them from drying out.
After the rolling process is over, boil water in a large pot and add a teaspoon of salt. Put cold water in another large bowl. Put the dough into the boiling water, mix it a little and then put it in the cold water. When you take the dough out of the cold water, squeeze the dough a little to get rid of the excess water and put it on the greased tray. Spread butter between each layer. This process will both increase the flavor of your pastry and add a fried visuality. When this process reaches half of the phyllo sheets, spread the cheese and parsley mixture. Then continue the process until the dough is completed. When the whole process is finished, after spreading the butter on the top layer, bake at 220 degrees for about 40 minutes until both sides are browned. It is better if you check it a couple of times after half an hour, as the exact time will not be clear. Serve hot. Enjoy your meal.
